So the rifles are packed up. Range finder and glorious binocs on loan from the patron saint of silhouette (pe ell's best citizen scholar).

Loaded up these 140gr Berger vld's with a heaping helping of N140.

Fingers crossed a big ol' mule deer will end up in the crosshairs. I'll have updates and pics when Keith and I make it back to the USA in 10 days hence.

I will also be very interested in pictures and stories of your hunt.

In addition, would be interested in your impressions of your outfitter, hunt location, travel/security issues, etc,

Good luck!!

Don't let Keith get a sun-burn down there. A tan on that milky white skin would look out of place in WA. =))

You know how true that is. I made a drug store run to get some spray on SPF 50 as I was afraid he'd burn!

I hit the tanning salon and grew out my stache so my desert rat heritage could kick in lol!

Jerry if we get in trouble we may call you in for artillery support! Lob one 20 miles south by southwest of Nogales. Fire for effect!

Back in Tucson after the hunt. Beautiful country and many deer seen.

Unfortunately. Our guide. A fellow silhouette shooter misrepresented several things.

I'm not going to bad mouth someone on this site but anyone that knows Keith or myself is welcome to get an in person account anytime.

I'm going to go back again as it was amazing but not with this party as we were put in jeopardy due to ethics issues that I can't forgive as a shooter and a conservationist. 8-x

Jerry, yes you do know him, and so do a lot of others. Not welcome to ride with me any more at matches or in my booze, but that is a result of previous experiences.

Mark,

I heard about your experience.... The guy you went with is radioactive. No one goes near him and I heard he is known in some circles as "The Mechanical Bull" - If you can stand him for 8 seconds...

I know some reputable people, not cheap, but with lots of good references.

Keith will be forwarding a word doc detailing specifics in the next day or so. If you get email regarding the CBC rest assured you're on the distribution list. If not you can email me at [email protected] and I'll make sure anyone interested gets a copy.

If you receive a copy feel free to distribute it to anyone you feel will be well served or protected by the info there in.

Putting this crap behind me and looking forward to a fantastic 2014 shooting season is the priority of the day.

Be looking for me at your regional matches. Goofy Stetson and smile in tow!
