Anyone familiar with the Weaver V series scopes. champion has 4x12 with a dot that is suppose to adjust below 30 feet AO. I haven't been shooting silhouettes and want to use one of my Anschutz for messing around and would like to buy a lower magnification scope. These wont break the bank and am interested. But I my eyes cant do lousy optics. I have some Bushnell's that I don't use. I need to get out to a silhouette match I had a Pharr stock put on a new 1712 a couple years back that I have never shot.
thanks, Sparky

Sparky,
I would get the 6 x 20, the 4 x 12 is not enough power for 100 meters. Weaver are great scopes for the price.

From what I can see, there is no Weaver V-series scopes that's a 4-12 power variable. That could be why no one has answered you. Here's the URL for the V-series scopes on Weaver's website.

Do you mean the 4-16 power scope with the dot reticle (model 849410) instead of 4-12 power? If so, there are many of those out on the firing lines and they are very good for the price. The glass won't be as good as upper-end Sightron/Leupold/etc that cost twice as much, but it will be far better than budget scopes that sell for $100 or less. I bought one for my daughter and it works well. If by "champion" you mean Champion Shooter Supply, then the "4-16x42 Cross/dot" scope that they refer to is indeed the model 849410. You can get it cheaper than $320 at other places, though.

MidwayUSA: $297.41 plus shipping

B&H Photo/Video: $294.49 with free shipping (but usually takes them over a week to ship, so don't use free shipping if you want it faster)

Thanks, I have a older savage anschutz that I want to scope. The 6 power is too much for the low end for me. Presently I have a t10 on it and for rabbits and such it's to much. I have a 3x9 Leupold on my air rifle that's perfect for what I want. I'm trying to be cheap. Being cheap has never worked before. I have thought about trying to sell the t10?
Thanks
