I'm ready for my first real match in smallbore. I live in the Oklahoma City area. Any match information and maps to the ranges within two or three hours of me would be most welcomed.

Glen, I have heard of a club called Tulsa Red Castle by tulsa OK but I am not completely sure. Maybe someone can chime in on this.

Three hours will get you to Fort Smith, AR, won't it? Mr. Niehouse?

I'm falling down on my job. The Old Fort Gun Club is in Fort Smith Arkansas, which isn't too far from you, just a run down I40. We shoot on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month starting In March. Range gates open at 8 and the match starts at 10 am. Sighing in and BS 'ing are done between 8 and 10 and after (and sometimes during) the match. You can find a map to our range at www.ofgc.org
If you get a little lost on your way, you can reach me on match days, up until the match starts at 479-883-9345.

Tulsa Red Castle is in Sand Springs OK, which is just west of Tulsa I've shot there several times but don't have their match schedule for this year. Red Castle is located on the John Zinc Ranch and you can get directions by going to www.mapquest.com and plotting the ranch as your destination. You might want to do a google search for the Red Castle Gun Club and pull a phone number off the site to call their match director. The ranch is controlled access and last year they would email you a code to get for the day of the match. Ed Kessey, one of their regulars is usually lurking around here somewhere. Maybe he can jump in and help you out with Red Castle

Glen, TulsaRedCastleGunClub has the first smallbore silhouette match for the year this coming Saturday, March 3rd. For details, contact Glenda Williams, stat officer at:
[email protected]
They changed access to the ranch last fall for nonmembers of RCGC so that you need a one-time code to get through their semi-high tech gate. This is a friendly bunch of shooters at a really nice facility. Try to get there by about 9am and simply introduce yourself...we love new shooters.

Naaa, won't have to if you're not coming. Mojo only intimidates shooters that use spotted roadkill to drape over their muzzles.
