Want to buy a TX200 tomorrow...need some advice

Hi All,
I'm ready for a TX200 for back yard target practice. I found that my pistol shooting skills have increased greatly with a air pistol. Now I'm looking to improve my rifle skills.
Who are some the best dealers with fair prices? I dealt with Straight Shooters about 10 years ago. But, don't have recent experience.
Is the .177 caliber the best for punching paper at 10 to 30 yards? It can be windy here and it's not unusual to have 15+ MPH winds.
I have a bunch of the 7.9 grain Crossman Premiere pellets. Will those be OK?
I have an old bushnell scope that is about 12 years old that is on a Beeman R7. To save some dough I'd like to use that scope since it's still fine. Would those rings mount on the TX200?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
