Milt Hood match at Tucson Rifle Club
Something that had not happened in ages!!!
Over 36 shooters participated in the High Power Silhouette Match in honor of Milt Hood, one year after his passing, at the Tucson Rod & Gun Club. We call it a crowd if even 10 shooters show up for a monthly match.
Special thanks to all the shooters from Phoenix, Nogales and Sierra Vista who attended and Congratulations to Jim Beckley, who won the match with a 31.
Joy Cox won the morning's small bore match with a 48/60 in windy conditions.
Finally, many thanks to May Warren and Ron Calderone for EVERYTHING.

Had a great time, thanks to May and Ron for putting the match together. Was really glad to have something with the Milt Hood Memorial on it, let alone winning the HP match. Milt was a class act, my favorite Marine, and as I said yesterday at the end of the awards, " It was real hard not to like Milt Hood", and if "Milt Hood told you something, you could take it straight to the Bank".

Sure you can.. You can drive him around in a long shiny black car and wear one of those little chauffeur caps while he rides in the back with the groupies...

If you are going to drive JB around you will have to have at least a 150 ton dump truck.

Maybe something with a Cat logo on it! Just pulled up to the city of Saffords rifle range, wind is moving my truck, dont think I will shoot today.

Cheers to May and Ron for getting this together. The Carl and I would have loved to have been there. See you guys at the AZ state smallbore match in a couple of months. WA had snow yesterday so we're thinking happy thoughts of Milt and the Tuscon Rifle Club.
