Shakes here again, thanks for the info on the rem 541-581 topic. May have changed my mind though. Saw a Kimber hunter silhouette at the local gun show and became smittn' with it. My question, does any out there use a hunter silhouette and how do you like it, any problems, why I shouldnt get one/should get one. Thanks

I've shot one, and did pretty well with it. Of course, borrowing someone else's rifle for a few pigs isn't the same as living with it.

I own, and shot a Kimber HS in competition for the last four years, I just resently switch to an Annie, but the Kimber is still my backup gun. I also mounted several of them in Parr stocks, they are excellent rifles, it would still be my choice, second to the Anchutz.

I believe that (don't hold me to his YMMV) that Lones Wigger is still shooting a Kimber HS

I started to admit I should have bought Kitty's when he offered it to me, but his head's too big already...

I have one and it shoots pretty good, but there are some that don't. If you are buying from an individual, I would want to shoot it first, especially at 100m. If you are buying it from a store you then have the option of sending it back to Kimber.

The last time I saw Wigger shooting SB, he had a Kimber, but it wasn't a HS, it was a grade or two above it. There was 3-4 of us that was using a HS and he did mention that he helped design the stock for it. Jim

I've had a Kimber HS for about three years now and I love it. Like most of our rifles, it's as good as the shooter on a calm day. From the bench, I've shot many sub one inch groups with federal gold medal match.

The rifle was a little heavy at first, but now makes the 8.5 lb weight limit with a Leupold 6x18 aot on top. The trigger is good and it seems to be a good solid rifle. Much better than I am. The rifle does seem to really open up the groups after I run a patch down the barrel, but after a few shots it settles back dowm.

I have a Kimber Hunter and I love it I can get it to shoot almost as good as most Anshutz rifles I have seen. They are good rifles. I think.
