CZ 452 vs CZ Lux 542 vs 455

I can see by the photos that there is a difference in the stock configuation of these two as well as the Lux has iron sights. Then there is the new CZ 455...... Toss that one into the mix, as they are available and are not a bad buy right now. Are there any other pros and cons I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

452 and the Lux are your better choices in my opinion. I have heard some say the new 455 is no where as good as the other models. There are some friends shooting the Lux in our Sporterifle league and love it.

Over on RFC the 455 has been reported with more than a few accuracy problems. Some shoot lights out some not to good! Just seems like the quilty control isn't up to spec yet and that they are still working out some kinks. The 452 models are tried and true!

Seen and shot a few 455's no where near the 452's. GO with a Lux or any of the 452's stocks are changeable....getting rid of early model production problems and changes are not easy to deal with. Trigger sucks on the 455 and is no where near as changeable as a 452.

Thank you all I appreciate the comments. The stock on the Lux looks awkward in the photos. Ithere is a local gun show next weekend. I suppose I will wait til then, unless I come across a great deal before then.

Any advantage to the longer barrel on the Lux vz the American?

Barrel balance is the only noticeable difference in the barrel length/size.

i actually think the lux euro hogsback stocks extra drop at heel is better for offhand shooting than an american sraight comb.

Not if you want a cheek weld. The stock is great for iron sights but once scoped there is no weld. The American is better but still shy with out a pad.
I've had both.

the added hog back drop with medium rings do not negitively affect the weld any more than the throngs of peole with a straight stock and high/xhigh bkl rings....just sayin

for a non Pharr/Wooster stock , any one other than a really tall guy ,will sacrifice some cheek weld if using high rings, the benifit is keeping the head/neck straight for repeatibility and less fatigue. a weld is preferred, so lots of guys teeter the toe high in the shoulder pad to gain some back while still getting some cheek on some wood.look at the photos og Baby Hueys "toy" CZ they are everywhere...geez.... i have tried the hogsback style and find that the loss of cheek is made up for by being solid in the shoulder.
just what i have found, your experiance may differ.

Not being able to see, touch, mount and feel a gun before buying can be problematic. That is one of the reasons I have not made a purchase yet, that and there is a gun show locally this coming weekend. May find something there or at least be able to see something that I can hold and see how it feels.

I mounted a V-24 Weaver in medium BKL mounts, took the rear sight out and saw little difference using my Special, than when using an expensively stocked Remington with a nice full cheekpiece.
But that's just me. Maybe my lack of neck works with this combo.
