The Devil Went Down to Georgia, and I'm coming too!

First and foremost, I am going to miss my Colorado friends a great deal. Silhouette here in Colorado has introduced me to an incredible bunch of guys and gals. I will miss them the most. I will also miss my ability to fly fish in a truly remarkable part of the country.
My wife and I are bound for the Fort Benning area in Georgia. She applied for a job working with the Army and unlucky enough for me she landed the job. So, by the end of the year we will be living somewhere around Fort Benning. Either in Georgia or across the state line in Alabama. This is going to be a big adjustment for me but I am determined to make it positive and embrace the Southern America. I even went and bought a Remington R15 yesterday so that I can help the South out with their pig problems.
We are going through all the research of trying to find a place to rent and which area we want to live. My only stipulations are that it be in a safe area, I have a gun room, and the yard be big enough that I can shoot air rifle in the back yard (I would love an acre or so outside of town). If anyone is familiar and has any advice for me I would appreciate it very much.
So, Fort Valley... you will have a new face showing up at your monthly SB silhouette matches. I still need to sort out the closest high power ranges as well. Looks like I'll be shooting a lot less silhouette than I do here in the Denver area (every Sunday). I guess the Savage 6.5 Creedmoor that I have on order will be used for some long range precision or tactical matches instead of a dedicated standard class gun. I'll save the Shilen ratchet barrel for traveling to HP silhouette and use the heavy factory barrel for "down in the dirt" shooting.
Good-bye Rockies and dry air... hello humidity!
