Here's some different 'Bling' for you guys.

Samuel's got a gun!. The barrel is tapered; aprox 0.740" down to 0.635" so will go for "hunter'.

PS.: How do you make the image on the post rather than as a link?

Pretty gun. Samuel should be as proud or prouder than any of us of his new toy. Here's to seeing you and him shoot and enjoy each other and the peculiar fellowship that we keep.

That's a darn nice looking gun. I actually have that same scope on one of my airguns. To make the picture appear in the post itself, just surround it with

tags and it should appear like below...
The line below is what I used to post the picture, but I replafced the [ and ] with { and } to make the forum software show the code instead of the picture and added color to make it more obvious which part is what.

That looks like an Achiever. They have a reputation for excellent accuracy. But then, what else its an Anschutz ! Really nice stick!

Yep it is an Achiever. This one is for my 10 year old. His older bro has the 1451.
The 'issue' with the 1451 is that it does not have a tapered barrel and the stock is aprox 3/16" too thick @ magazine to be in 'hunter' class. So I had to trim stock and get Bobby Pitchford to put a nice taper & reblue (he did a beautiful job). So it now is 'legal' in 'hunter'.
But the shown Achiever meets "hunter" with no mods. However it is a bit light for older shooters.
The "plan" is that the sons use each for 2-3 years; then I get a upgrade for Thomas. Then Samuel takes over Thomas' 1451.
Then this Achiever becomes dad's squirrel rifle.

Pete,
Sound like a plan everyone comes out ahead. Now all you have to do is find the money to feed all three ammo. Glad that they are enjoying silhouette, you know I wil do anything to help.
See you at the range,

Paul was wondering how your going to feed those 3 rifles, he also said he would do anything to help. You should hit 'im up for a case or two of
EPS or the very least SK if he wants to help out.

Maybe some more BLAZER, I have trouble keeping a good supply for just me. But Pete knows me, and would not be surprised if I gave his kids some ammo. Loan people guns and ammo all the time, like the drug addict trying to hook a friend.

That's a great attitude - the more we share and encourage the bigger
the sport gets and kids develop similar cooperative attitudes.
My hat's off.

Andrew;
Paul goes way way beyond to assist JR shooters at his home club; PSC, and all the matches at other clubs. In fact my oldest won a couple of bricks of ammo at PSC's recent championships.
The shop I got the gun at threw in a brick as part of the deal to help with the efforts. I am constantly impressed at the warm reception my sons get at every match from all the shooters. They love to cut up with the "big guys'.
What I really need is some majic to help me knock down 3 more turkeys each match.

This is a great sport, and since the season ended the withdrawal pains have been awful. May have visit the range tomorrow and pretend the gang is there.
