Did it loved it... I know of a few other here that have also went that route. I'll have to dig up some pictures and post for you.

Here you go I still had one in my file...

topclass, I know of at least two other Fortner actions in silhouette rifles, El Puma and Pat Steiger both have at least one each.

WOW Bob that actions looks really cool, and the stock is just right! Not to flashy as it makes the action of the rifle the centerpoint!

There is a guy in eastern MT that has one also. It was Jack Fosters and was sold to Kendle Link.

Yep, got one built it as a hunter gun. I love it. An expensive way to go. If you're right handed, it's not necessary as there are so man quality bolt actions to choose from. Anschutz made a few in 1996 as a Standard gun. I think a "Frankenhunter" is more accurate, definitely cheaper. My daughter is about as quick shooting her 1710 when we "race". (mostly cuz she doesn't miss) Evelio did a lot of the work on mine, talk to him. Also they make a single shot version for position shooting, the F27A. Boetler has one.....he's keeping his data secret though <just kidding> Don't forget, you'll need a 1700 mag well as the Fortner is the longer one, and will stick out the bottom of the Pharr stock. I'm a left-side shooter shooting a LH 54:18MS in standard...every so often I see a Fortner biathlon come up for sale and I've been curious about the possibility, hence my original question.

Other than it is different, I realy don't see an advantage in using one.
