Is it permissible to add a foam cheek pad to a stock? The type I'm referring to is the type that attaches via an adhesive backing and is a semi-permanent installation. I should also note that as attached it will not raise the top of the comb above the legal limit.

You may get different opionions from different match directors. My match I would allow a stick on cheek piece in Silhouette rifle class as long as it fits the jig, which we don't have anyway. I just eyeball the stock comb height and have never rejected one. I would not allow add on cheek pieces in Hunter rifle class. Rule book says Attachments are not permitted. I take a strict view of Hunter rifles pushing them to Silhouette if modified at all. Not everybody is strict on Hunter guns.

If it is fixed onto the stock and will raise the comb above the legal limit, it would not be within the rules.

Look into the Bear Creek neoprem slip over comb raising kit that has different width pieces to adjust it how you like. I used one on the very near non-existent comb on the CZ452 Sil composite stock when I first started and it helped a lot to get a better cheek weld. Sold it with the rilfe and the young lady still uses it today and even won Junior at winnie on Sat. with it IIRC. But if you are a guy. Don't shave for a few days and you get a great cheek weld from the stuble locking into the neopren cells

No rule against that yet
