Tell Bill we're all thinking of him and praying that he passes them as painlessly as possible. I haven't had kidney stone, but my best friend has had a few. If the pain is bad enough to bring that big, tough ex-Navy guy down to wanting some painkillers, it must be really bad. His doc's advice to prevent future kidneystones, since he's genetically predisposed to them, is to eat right and drink a LOT of water every day. It has worked for a year or two so far.

Feel better, And I know it has to be painfully because I heard my pops yell like a shot moose in the bathroom when he had kidney stones once.

Iron man Bill Motl had a laser done on his big stone, 5.5 x 6 mm, chipping some of it away. They put a stent in to try and get it and the others into his bladder, so they can be further fractured and passed. He should be released from the hospital tonite or tomorrow. He's planning on shooting the HP match on Sunday.

Bill, I feel your pain, literally. I have passed two and am now cultivating one that as of four years ago x-rays showed it was about 3/8". I don't even want to think about how big it is now.
