HI all,
My name is Bill .I am from Southern WI. I live in Dodge County. I am a member of a local club and want to become more active in the shooting sports. I would like to TRY:) my hand at 22 silhouette shooting. I have been looking around the site and there looks like alot of good people post here.I have learned alot already. Now I need a gun. I have seen that the CZ 452 is popular for a reasonably priced gun but has been changed to the 455.

Is anyone using the Savage guns with the accutrigger? The Savage Mark 2 BV comes to mind as a less expensive alternative as well. Or is CZ the way to go?

Maybe I should have posted the gun portion in another section? If so I apologize and will take my punishment like a man:) lol

Thanks all for the great site!

Bill/WI

I don't know about the Savage but the CZ is a great starting gun. Make sure you get a scope with target knobs. Hold-over doesn't work very well. There are some out there for around $100 that arn't too bad and will serve you for at least a couple years before you decide if you want to up-grade. My old Tasco served me well for about 10 years. I guess I was lucky with it.

I am guessing used 452s don't come along very often or if they do they don't last long:) Thanks Jerry for the information.

Bill,

Please contact my good friend Bill Larson at the Beloit Rifle Club. He can give you info on their summer league and monthly matches and also provide you with good advice.

Glad to have you on board!
