Malformed links in "new post to subscribed thread" emails?

Is anyone else getting emails about new posts in threads they're subscribed to with malformed links? When I click on the links in emails for the last few days, I'm getting a "No post mode specified." error message instead of the expected topic. Is it just me? Was there a forum software update recently? It looks like the email link is just malformed. For instance, this is the link in an email that I got today.
posting.php/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t= ... 83&e=42983
I think the format of the link should be this or something similar, though.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5228&p=42983#p42983
It could even be shortened to this, if the link in the email notifications can be directly edited in the forum software, since this passes the topic ID (5228 in this case) and post on the page to jump to (p42983) once the page is rendered.

Sorry if this is a little too techie for most. I'm accustomed to fixing online services and websites, so thought I'd take a look at this one. I have just noticed this in the past few days, but I'm not sure how long it has been happening.

Ahh, ok. I thought that was for a different issue, since it said "after you post." I thought it must be some weird result that showed up after you hit Submit.

I'm still seeing it. Whenever I log on or submit I get a malformed page, mostly white with the advertisement strip visable but most of the chrome and display fonts are gone. Then I back out of the site and reload and everything returns. Happens on two Laptops at home and at work.

Yep.. same root cause. Mike emailed me back saying that he would look into it as soon as he can, but he just had wrist surgery so typing and such isn't exactly easy right now. All in all, not a big deal. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't only me since it happened at the same time I rebuilt my home PC after getting a solid state drive and some other new hardware.

I have seen this as well, but it was a "deal with it" to me as I know it is a lot of work keeping the site running and I do not have the expertise to recommend a solution as you have. Thanks!
SSD, sweet! A local shop was playing around with a striped (Raid 0) SSD array as the boot drive and claims they booted to the desktop in 17 seconds! I think they later added a rotating drive as the data drive.
Get well, Mike!
Cheers,
Rick

I'm running one SSD as a boot/system drive now with a spindle drive for data. I tried it with two SSDs in RAID 0 as a boot drive and got faster writes, but it wasn't really that much faster on reads. Since a boot/system drive is mostly reads, I decided to use the other SSD in my laptop. I think this Crucial C300 on the SATA3 controller is fast enough that another SSD here would be a waste and additional risk of failure in RAID 0 anyway. If you're buying an SSD, be careful of the speed ratings. Different companies use different measurement methods for reads and writes.

Yes, please accept my apologies. My right wrist is in a cast and the narcotics have me drooling on the keyboard...
I'm hoping I can hen-peck my way into a solution this weekend...

Ok - I think I was able to revert some things with some success...
Please advise if any hinky stuff is still happening...
