I'm compiling a list of Silhouette matches in/around Washington State.
Any matches - smallbore, high power, cowboy, pistol, handgun, air gun, rubber-band - anything you have. Post it here or email/IM, pretty please.
If you can get me the name of the Range and a contact person/phone #, I'd appreciate it immensely.
(Updated 01/07/2007)
Here's what I think I know - I need to confirm these with someone - if you know or can confirm, please do! Thanks!
Pe Ell - HP - 1st Sun
Pe Ell - SB - 4th Sun
Tac Sport Club - SB - 1st Sat, 2nd Sun
Cap City - SB - 3rd Sunday ?
Machias - SB - 3rd Sun ? (pistol/lever on the preceding Sat?)

I would like to know the date for the 2007 Conard B Cup so that I can make plans with Spottin' Kitty.

Mr. Duck Man.....Plan on April 28th & 29th for the CBC 2007. The date has not been finalized yet but the CBC has always been held on the last weekend in April...Last year there were five weekends in April....Marv.

Thanks for the reply Metalhead. If that is the date, I will not be able to attend due to a prior committment! I can do any other weekend in April other than that one so please use your powerful influence and try to schedule it one week prior as I would dearly love to attend and lift a few with you,

Wait a minute.......Prior commitment......what about the prior commitment you made to the 2007 Duck and Kitty cultural tour?????......Who will help me keep PePe LePew inline???? If Chicken goes how will I ever keep him out of trouble by myself......Who will drink all Marvin's Whiskey???????? How will I uphold the South's honor all by myself....Might not even be safe to travel up there....
On the other hand, maybe they don't want us back.......

Kitty,
Handling Chicken is a piece of cake, or is that pie on his face? As for support from the South, I intend to be there with my bells on. Been known to tip a few Wodkas as the European techs I've worked with call them. Duck will tell you I've even been known to have some of the true south of the border spirit, with a worm in the bottom.

I am now really pissed at not being able to come in 2007 to partake of Marvelous Marv's Northwestern Hospitality! I had scheduled this on my calendar and a previous committment changed dates on me. I am sure that we will be able to get back on track for 2008!
Kitty,
I truly apologize for getting your hopes up of travelling with someone that will not embaress you on Cultural tours of the surrounding area; however, we still have Jacksonville, Winnie, Tennessee, Arkansas and many other venues to travel to. Let's not forget Benny's match in NC. I just need dates!

I'm putting my dance card together for next year now too. It would be a big help (I know everyone out there is just dying t be helpful) if the match directors would post a sticky here with next year's matches as soon as they have the dates confirmed. I like to start firming up my calender for next next starting about now.......

Duck,
Sorry you are going to miss CBC, but I'll do my best to represent the south, maybe with a little muck between the toes, but with Kitty's help I'm sure we can do a fair job of representing the South.

Here is more details on the Machias match schedule, with hopefully enough detail to post on the main website after I get more contact info about I get home tonight...
The Machias range is owned and run by the Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association. The range where the matches are held is in Machias, WA, and is about 8 miles east of Everett, WA. All matches are NRA-approved. We have a real bathroom with indoor plumbing on-site (as I understand it, this is a bigger deal to the fairer sex) and a Burger King about three miles away for those who want to grab grub before/between/after matches.
Saturday before 3rd Sunday
----------------------------------------------------------
Morning: Smallbore Cowboy Lever Action, Smallbore Hunter's Pistol
This is a 40-shot match at 1/2 scale smallbore targets.
Registration: 9:00am
Sight-in: 9:30am
Match: 10:00am
Afternoon: Pistol Cartridge Cowboy Lever Action, Hunter's Pistol
This is a 40-shot match at thicker 1/2 scale pistol cartridge targets.
Registration: approximately 11:45pm, most register at the morning registration as most shoot both matches
Sight-in: approximately 12:00pm
Match: Approximately 12:30pm
Note: The time of the afternoon match is dependent upon the end time of the morning match. We usually allow 45 minutes to an hour for people to have lunch before we start sight-in for the afternoon match. Since most people shoot both matches and register for both in the morning, the registration period doesn't take much time. We allow registration during the sight-in period also for those who just want to shoot the afternoon match and don't quite make it there for the afternoon registration period.
Third Sunday of the Month
-------------------------------------------
Smallbore Hunting Rifle and Smallbore Rifle
This is a 60-shot match at 1/5 scale smallbore targets. We always shoot at least two relays so that those who wish to shoot both classes can do so.
Registration: 9:00am
Sight-in: 9:30am
Match: 10:00am
For any of these matches, you can contact me at jason(at)themccurrys.com or by phone at (425)397-3964. We also have two Silhouette Committee members whose would probably be able to provide even better info thatn I can. They are Kevin Knowles (ph# 360-691-6368) and John Martinis (ph# 425-488-6885). You can contact any of us for more info or more specific directions. If you let someone know ahead of time, we can make sure that we have an extra gun and ammo for it if you don't have your own to bring. Even if you don't let us know ahead of time, I'm sure we could make it happen or I could run home (two miles from the range) and grab an extra gun and ammo for you. Just show up and you'll be taken care of.
