Thanks for all the info on the benjamin marauder i have decided to take the plunge and enter into the pcp world, scuba tank and hand pump, one last question simple maybe maybe not .177 or 22 going to use it for small bore training

For practicing and pellet selection I prefer the .177

.177....seem to have wider variety of pellets readily available to select from.

Had the same decision to make several weeks ago and chose the 177 caliber due to large selection of pellets and lower cost of them. The Marauder is very adjustable, so you can have a tune for short-range paper punching with ~8gr wadcutter pellets (they cut cleaner holes) and then a stronger tune for the 10+gr dome pellets for hunting/silhouette/whatever. You also get more shots per fill with a 177 assuming the same velocity and efficient tunes, as the projective is a much lower weight. Unless you're going to be doing mostly small game hunting with it, I wouldn't think a 22 caliber would be the right choice.

For hunting, .22 or .25.

For target, .177. Pellets are cheaper and available in many more varieties. As a practical matter, only domed pellets are any use outdoors (longer range). Pointed are less precise/accurate, wadcutters skate on the wind.
Indoors and at lower power, wadcutters cut wads better.
