I should finally have my 1712 in the Pharr stock in my hands in the next day or two, and need to start gathering the rest of the gear to go along with it. One of the things I need is at least two more magazines. Where is a good place to get more? What are these others that people talk about getting cheap that work fine if you file a notch into them or off of them or something?

Brownells sells savage magazines that fit when you file the rear top of the magazine off. They're under 10 bucks with shipping etc. I never heard of any that did not work. I have one, I paid 5 bucks for it at a match. I should have bought more.

Got a part number or more of a description on that so I can find it at Brownell's? What's the difference in that one and the one that comes from Anschutz once whatever gets filed off is off?
