The NRA/Shooting Sports USA magazine asked if we'd mind being featured as a "website of the month" for their Sept Silhouette-focused issue.
I told them we'd be glad to... so would you slouches please pick up after yourselves and be nice to the company.
Beckley, say some nice things.
Mc Alice, no "snipe hunting" with the newbies.
Malinois, clean behind your ears.
Kitty... well, do something Kitty would do.
Mary... nevermind.
Bob259, quit loading six shots and wait for the Fuego.
Gator, Lone Ringer, BCloninger, the NW crew, the Texans... you're in charge of refreshments and those little weiners they put on toothpicks.
The rest of you, look alive!

Mike..I think you should be cautious about telling the down under boys to look alive!!!
I'll try to keep track of what goes on in Raton, next week so I can translate for the yanks. WIll have to stay in town, too late to land competitor housing on Whittington but will have the radar up anyway.

Hey Mike, I take it as a personal insult that you didn't single me out for a personal insult. Why don't you and Byron come down for the Jacksonville match again? It's the same weekend as the Jellyfish Festival.

I'll be on my best behavior

......You know me, always ready to rise to the occasion...
Serioursly though, I spent some time at the Nationals with the NRA's Program Cordinator, Silhouette Shooting Competitions Director Jonathan Leighton and he's a good guy. Always been super helpful when I need anything from their office and he is sincere in wanting to get to know the silhouette shooting community better. He regularly monitors this board and I believe, though I cannot speak for him, that he is willing to provide straight answers to questions that many might have. Thinking forward, maybe Mike and Jonathan could work out an "Ask the NRA" forum to post questions about the sport and that sort of thing...just a thought....
It would be a great fourm so long as we don't turn it into a place to demand changes that Jonathan cannot make, or a place to grind old axes that have become dull with age...

And it's cool to be almost anything of the month...playmate, employee, student, web site..

Hambone, your personal insult was delivered as intended.
I'm honored to have our little corner of the web recognized and it's because of what each of you contributes to make this website what it is.
Now that I'm done blowing wind up yer kilt, will someone please keep Byron from asking how everyone's wife is doing?

Thanks Mike, I feel much better now. But lay off my homey Byron, although I did notice that disturbing trait during one of our slumber parties. He's gotta be guilty of something.
