As all of you have read in gator's post, their state match will be on the 21st of August!!! I hope everyone has made plans to attend as they are a great bunch and put on a heck of a match even on the monthly matches, i could only imagine the show at their state match.

Ok, for my shameless plug, we are only a couple of hours away from Chattanooga and will be having our monthly matches on august 14 here in pinson, outside of birmingham. we would love to have everyone that can make it show up and get a good warm up the week before they go see ed and the gang in chattanooga. as allways new shooters are welcome and appreciated we have even had several 3-p shooters show up with varying degrees of iron sight equipment and they have had a blast and are now hooked and looking for silhouette rifles. same as allways, start time is 9:00 am with an 8:45 manditory safety meeting. as our attendance is growing we are having to try to stick more closely to schedule to get done in time,especially if we go into relays, so if you need directions give me a shout ahead of time and i'll get you there the quickest way i can. practice starts at 8 am or as soon as folks show up to help me get some targets out, so come early and have a blast!

Thought I would give both of us a little “bump”.

Thanks for the good words. Hope everyone makes your match this weekend to "warm-up" for Chattanooga next weekend, and I hope the operative word is not "warm". We need a couple of weeks of cooler weather.

Any of you shooters going to Nick’s match this weekend, let us all know if you shoot your personal best an get reclassified. It’s been a couple of weeks for Jason now so he is probably about ready to go up again.

Nick, we had a nice drive down to your shoot. It was very nice to meet everyone. Who would have ever thought about wearing a personal flotation device while attending a silhouette match.

jjp..your comment there leaves some questions in the mind. Sounds like some of the crazy thoughts that go through minds of that part of the deep South.

Thanks for the invite. It was very nice meeting you and everyone else. I am going to put Pinson on my calendar every 2nd Saturday. Hopefully we will be able to make some of your shoots. I found the way you have everything set up very nice and seems easy for me to shoot. Good decision not to go ahead and squad everyone in row boats, since we didn’t have life preservers for everyone. (lol) We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

You never know what you will discover in the South. When you are in the middle of the woods and water is involved you always have to listen for banjos playing.

We all were able to practice for a while before the heavy rain set it.

hey, Thanks everyone for the kind words and especially squirel hunter along with his bunch from the shoals and jjp and his dad. I really wanted to get the match going, but we couldn't seem to get a break, I appoligize again for the cancelation, however with that kind of rainfall i'd have to bring pam anderson and hasselhoff out of retirement to lifegaurd baywatch style beteween the turkey and ram lines, and that would probably affect concentration and scores anyhow and with the potential of the firing line floating off we have the potential legal issues with shooting from a moving boat.

All joking aside, thanks to everyone who has been making this match a sucess and a special thank you to all of our guests with long drives, that makes the job of putting on the match worth the effort to see loyal regulars from local areas and beyond come every month.
