Tomorrow, Byron and I will be begin our journeys from our respective hellholes to lovely Ridgway, Pa., hopefully ending up at our lovenest at the Comfort Inn. Byron will begin the honeymoon without me by landing at Buffalo and taking in Niagra Falls, apparently some type of tourist attraction. Because it was 4 dollars cheaper, I will be flying into Pittsburgh, and lunching along the way in Punxsutawney, where they feature some kind of giant rodent. Can anyone recommend any eateries along the way, hopefully with polka music? Also, once we get there we will be looking for some wild and crazy times, any hotspot recommendations? If they have computers up there, we hope to keep you posted on our most excellent time. Hope to see you there, Thank you, B&B

Bone, are you taking a camera with you? If so please take lots of pictures to post here on SC. NO...not the kind like you and Byron sharing tender moments and margueritas in a hot tub at some questionable PA resort. I mean quality photos of the Nationals. We need shots of people, people having fun. Smiling people shooting rifles at steel animals....yeah.

Show us bling till it hurts. Snap away at the fancy paint jobs, cool ammo load blocks and exotic shooting vests. We want it all! Dont take a bunch of the same view shots of the winners shaking hands and giving high fives...one or two is plenty. Also, get a shot of Greg Conner sunburnt again cause he was not wearing his ball cap. A frowning grumpy Mr. Conner would be specialy nice.

Take lots of pictures of the firing line, down range, tent city, etc. I have never been to Ridgway so I want the full deal real feel of what it is like and what I'm missing.

Bone, this is a huge assignment not to be taken lightly. If you are not up to the task tell me now so I can persuade someone else to do it.

Someone please take the time to get some decent photos of this premier event uploaded to this site.

Thank you.

Yes...

Stay out of strip clubs with Ducky and Neihouse (Seriously a great memory, not for the weak hearted!)
Stay out of local bars with MetalHead and Shooting Paul from Canada (still have a chipped tooth over that one)
Stay out of almost any place that serves sprits with Cullpepper
Stay out of Hotel rooms with 'ladies of the night' with Greg Sullivan (and Coates for that matter)
Stay out of local rual estiblishments with anyone that does not speak English (Dave Carpenter - Limey)

Need more? :))

Lets see..

Stay out of strip clubs with Ducky and Neihouse (Seriously a great memory, not for the weak hearted!)
Haven't seen Ducky at a NRA national since 98 (in WInny)?

Stay out of local bars with MetalHead and Shooting Paul from Canada (still have a chipped tooth over that one)
Haven't seen Metalhead in PA that I remember...so that is since 2000 at least, Paul don't remember him in PA either.

Stay out of almost any place that serves sprits with Cullpepper
Haven't seen Cully The Dog since 09 Southern Nationals

Stay out of Hotel rooms with 'ladies of the night' with Greg Sullivan (and Coates for that matter)
Coates is working, as for hanging with Greg Sullivan, only done that in Little Rock Mexican eatery so no comment there, other than we were not officially thrown out.

Stay out of local rual estiblishments with anyone that does not speak English (Dave Carpenter - Limey)
We are approaching Limey's current living area so not sure what to expect as for attempting to appear in the same establishment with him.

So Bone, I'd say go for it and take lots of pictures!!!!

For any and all who take pix. PLEASE, PLEASE, oh did I forget to mention PLEASE list the names of those in the pix. Also take pix of the holds with each rifle that are being used by the better shooters. A pix is worth more than a thousand words when trying to teach juniors, and for us old farts who would like to try something different. Thanks in advance. Hawk-1

Well, we made it ok, and just got back from the warmup match, and now are relaxing at the hotel. Byron is asleep and I found a computer in the lobby. Saw Mary, Kitty, Mallory, Bob259, et al. Adam did fine for his first match. I took second (a turkey trophy) in the AA hunter match with a 27. The ringers come out tomorrow as the real competition starts. Nice venue, great weather, super people.

259..Is that why Byron was saying something about my position during a SC photo op just before the country club dinner Tuesday?
