Question

Post by shakes »

Does anybody know if the ring mounting holes are the same between the remington 700 action and the model seven action. i might buy the ol' lady a model seven cdl in .260 to get her started in highpower. the reason i ask is ive got a pair of Marvins ring and was wondering if they would work. thanks guys :D

I think I just answered my own question. I looked at close up pic and the 700 action seems to be a bit longer in the rear(that's what she said) than the model seven.

Wouldn't they have both at someplace like Cabelas down close to you? Maybe some other larger gun shop? It's hard to rely on pictures on the web, as you don't know when each was taken.

An easy way to check this is to get your scope base application charts out. Then compare the two rifles using the single piece bases. If the base numbers are the same the rifles should be the same. Or just call Weaver or who ever you want.
