Okay, troops it's one fifty something am Memorial Day morning at Camp Kitty....One more day to relax a bit, and start the packing process......packing will begin in earnest and the mobile command post will pull out headed for Winnsboro La and the Southern Nationals big 20th YEAR BIRTHDAY BASH....David and Jerry and the related cast of characters have given us a venue for 20 years to go head to head with silhouette shooters from all over and to build friendships and stories that will last a lifetime....Limey should already be in Winnsboro as the advance scout and there is no telling what he, David and Jerry will cook up....Time for the pretenders to tuck tail and the shooters to show up...Let's have a roll call for those who are going....When you leaving and where you coming from????

The Kitty Caravan will be hauling the one and only Kitty, Mini Kitty, and Miss Kitty from the great State of Arkansas, hailing from near the home of Hanging Judge Issac C Parker, made famous by the Duke himself in the movie True Grit FORT SMITH....Who else??? Don't be shy, and if this is your first Winnsboro let us know.

Commander Kitty
Proud to be an American and Grateful to all our Veterans, both living and dead who have went in harms way so that we might enjoy the freedoms of this great land.

Flying in Thursday afternoon from Lake Stevens, WA. First time travelling more than a couple hours' drive to any sort of match, much less down to Southern Nationals. Don't even know how to travel with ammo. :)

Jason,
pack the ammo in a seperate hard locked case, preferably still wrapped as one brick, and if you have any real questions call me.

Commander Kitty, a brief report from El Paso at the TX state HP, TPK won A class in both standard and hunter, High Lady in standard...I will be packing the loot in vehicles headed that way from here, and flying out in the am to meet up with the boy half way and should be in tomorrow night.

Mr No Tell Motl that won the Texas HP...I have your book with me, as I do several others I know going to Winny.

Winnsboro for your first road match?! And their 20th, to boot? Mighty brave of you!

Y'all have fun and shoot a few extra rounds for BB/BC up here getting cabin fever - Rev BB/BC has me under lock-down for at least another week...

BB/BC I'm sure Jason will be fine, I'll keep an eye out on him and make sure he doesn't win too much stuff! Now as for you, which Rev BB/BC???? Rumor has it that there are three of them at least so maybe it is time for the token democrat to use some of his own independent gusto....oh yeah I forgot democrats are not capapble of being independent, they are like sheep. Will miss seeing you buddy, and I'll collect on that dinner/dessert yet. BTW don't feel bad we will have fun without you and I'll try to get you a SC sticker.

I will be there Tuesday afternoon. I'm coming from Middle Tennessee. I live in Bell Buckle, we have the RC - Moon pie festival here every year. It's around 512 miles for me, so it's not too bad.

I want to thank Bob Cloninger for his hotel room. Looking forward to meeting you in the future.

This is my first season shooting silhouette. I've shot the last two months in Chattanooga.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We are coming from western N.C. and plan on getting in early afternoon on Thursday. This is our 3rd year and I can hardly wait. Shot in Chattanooga on Sat. to get in a last practice before Winny!

As previously stated... I'm picking my wife up at the Shreveport airport @ 10:30 AM tomorrow morning and proceeding from there straight to Winnsboro. We're continuing our practice of bringing a peace offering from the Great State of Texas of some genuine down south tamales and Shiner beer. Since we've registered no fatalities from this combination in the past it has become a somewhat acceptable rite of passage for early arrivals. It doesn't seem to matter how much we bring.... it's gone Tuesday night. Last year it served as only appetizers for the coon and beaver which were the main course of both food and conversation for the early pilgrims to the shrine of silhouette. So... who's gonna have some tamales?

Dang!

We have to wait for Clark to dogsled in from north of Anchorage.
Any chance that you could save just one or two until Thursday so we can eat them in front of him and watch him turn colors?

Nomad...Clark should be used to our various foods by now, after all we couldn't get him to eat any of those fine "Other" oysters. Look forward to seeing the dogsled as well.

I plan to be there. After a long 3 day work week I plan to take Friday off and head out early for the long 2.5 hour pilgrimage to Winnie from the deep south flank  It will be an exhausting couple of hours in the truck but I hope to overcome and be at the range shortly after breakfast. B-)

We are heading out Wednesday afternoon. After a stop over for the best fried pickles and green tomatoes in Tunica, we will land in around lunch time on Thursday. There will be no mis-placed Irishman this year. Think he's a bit afraid of the Orange Shirts.

Mary, what this does is pretty unbelievable. Right now, over 80 degrees I'm good for about 20 minutes. Embarrassing for a southerner. Y'all grab me a couple of SC sticker!

Yeah, next thing I know my dog will go to Seminary...
