Just a post in memory of the sailors, marines, airmen and army personel that fought and died galantly on this date. its especialy close to me since I deployed with Destroyer squadron 14 the first unit to engage the enemy and sink a midget submarine when it tried to sneak into the harbor...Bravo Zulu shipmates. I also want to remenber my old friend Gunnersmate Alex Smith..pops.

A toast to Pops...a mentor and close friend and gunner on PBY's in the South Pacific during WWII, where my late father was a pilot for PBY's.
