I would like to ask you guys & Gals a silhouette question. When aiming at the Rams do you aim at the middle of the animal , or do you aim at the shoulder for more target area to hit. I have been aiming at the middle of the Ram but have been thinking that might not be the right way to go about that target. Thanks

Most of the time I aim at the middle, sometimes shade toward the shoulder, but mostly middle.

Depends on environmental conditions, ammo, and what gender name I have picked to put in my mind for the target at the time. I usually try to hold/break over the front leg, middle to up motion.

I try to hold in the middle, top of the front sight on the Ram's belly.

i shoot for the middle, so when the shooting gods send me a little breeze i have more room for the drift hitting the steel

I try to bring the bead right up between the legs and when it touches the belly, pull the trigger for a center hit. Of course, this presumes I can keep it straight while coming up to the belly.

Gosh, what a luxury. With the winds that we have you will be holding on the nose for one shot, hoping it does not blow off the rump and the next one might be just the reverse. Oh, the wind beats you up, too. I was recently informed that it is passe to call it "pass shooting" as the animal flashes through your field of view. Apparently "drive by" is now "in". ;)
