$20 each and the reserve's not met yet......I know how our club can raise some money, we seem to have a few of these "early 1900's" antiques at each match!

Let's see 4 four $81.00 that means a set goes for $800. Good thing it's early in the season and the boys won't mind me selling a set to buy 7 or 8 new sets with the money.

WOW.... 2 chickens and 2 Turkeys sold for $150... the person calling these 'Primitive from 1900- 1949' lends a whole new meaning to the phrase 'Buyer Beware' .
"Hi Today i am offering this Excellent Early 1900's Cast Iron Targets they are marked NRA the larger pair also are marked NRA 22LR tlarger targets look like turkeys the smaller look like ducks the large ones are 5 inches high and 33/4 inches wide the smaller pair are 23/4 inches high and 23/4 inches wide there are a couple of different colors of paint on them and you can see where bullets hit them they could possibly be from some form of shooting gallery you are getting all 4 for one money they are in excellent condition there are no chips cracks or repairs to this item"
I should send a note to the buyer telling him I have 80+ of them I'd sell them for $1,000

Maybe the broken chickens laying around the shed can be put to good use after all.......
I like the "you can see where bullets hit them they could possibly be from some form of shooting gallery you" part.
Curious if the seller was predatory or if they just had no clue (I'm trying to be a less of a pessimist these days, gotta keep the karma up).

I think I got a pretty good deal as I got him to eat the shipping, so who's the sucker? I also ordered seven more ducks.

Hammy... I'll give you an even better deal, 80 cast collectables for only $1,000. All with a fresh coat of paint and include carry buckets for easy handling and two new animals for your collection that you didn't get in your 'partial' set off Bay, a Pig and Ram.
Now this is a deal you can't pass up and you'll be the first on the block to have a 'full' set of these lovely cast collectables.

Actually the one in the eBAy ad, that they described as a Turkey, is in reality a Flamingo. So, yes you are all set

I'm tempted to take a picture at the match this weekend exposing the sham and listing it on ebay, I may.

It is rumored that they also found pottery Chickens, Pigs, Turkeys and Rams in the caves with the Dead Sea Scrolls. Together with Catapults powered by cat gut, the animals are bigger than the NRA SB animals, about the size of IHMSA SB animals. So i guess Silhouette as we know it goes back even further than the early 1900's. Interesting if you look at the pictures in Time magazine the tent they have looks just like the roving tent of Pat Steiger's
