2009 Southern Nationals and Best Western

We have had massive flooding in Franklin Parish due to the heavy rains following Hurricane Gustav.

The Best Western Motel and the San Marcos Mexican Restaurant have three to four feet of water in them! Jerry has heard that the owner will NOT build back. If you have reservations for the 2009 match, I suggest that you call motels in Rayville or Delhi and make reservations. I would NOT plan on the Best Western being open next year.

I do know that the Chase Suites are booked for several years and you may be able to get a room at the Embers Inn. I do not have the numbers for the motels in Rayville or Delhi, but you can do a search. Both are an easy drive to Winnsboro and not as far as where you stay in PeEll.

I spoke with the Embers Inn staff this morning. What what little I could understand, they said that the Best Western should be back open in a couple of months.
