Since this is my first trip to the Winsboro match, could someone please give me directions?
I live in Orlando and I get used to having 9 zillion rooms available. I had to get a room way up in Rayville (Days Inn).
I tried to pull it up on Mapquest but I have two addresses for the club. The one on Fair ave looks like it's downtown, so I guess that's not it. And I can't find a # for the address on HWY 865.

Pat,
It is actually in 'town'.

The first year we went there, we(my wife) forgot the map to the range back in the hotel.
We were driving around"town". We were stopped in a red light, two guys in a muddy truck, mullet and all were smiling at our "florida" tagged minivan. I asked the guy where the gun range was and sure enough they know where it is and pointed us in the right direction.
Pat, I will try my best to print a map for you. I will not include the muddy truck option....

The website gives 2882 Hwy 865 as the address but Mapquest wouldn't pull it up for me so it may not be helpful.
Try this: The highway South from Rayville is, what, 425? Whatever, take that main highway from Rayville right through Winnsboro. There are (at least, were) two CITGO stations in town, both on the right. Turn right on 865 at the second one. Go a couple of miles East until you see the club. Can't miss it.
If this is wrong or could be improved, somebody will speak up.

It's easy, just get on I-10 and go west until you see a sign that says Winnsboro and turn south. Stop when you see the sign that says you are there.
Check the map that has the range locations on this site. The kid from WY did a good job on that.

I think you meant " I 20 " , turning south on I 10 will take you to mexico after a long swim.

Ah come on Papa, a little salt water never hurt anything, and besides it was only the slip of a 1 for a 2, what is a digit here and there?

Winnsboro is NORTH of I-10 and just 22 miles SOUTH of I-20. The 204 Fair Avenue address is my office address since our club is private and no one is ever there to receive mail or packages on a regular basis. We will have signs up to direct you to the range and you can ask any person in town and they will tell you how to get there. We are less than three minutes from the center of the town!
Be sure and ask for a receipt for anything that you buy here. If you forget, I am sure that the locals will recognize your accent as anything other than redneck and ask you if you want a receipt!
We will treat you so many ways that you got to like at least one!

You can get an interesting view if you go to google earth and "fly to" Winnsboro Gun Club. Zoom in and select "roads" from the menu on the left. You can find your way pretty well from that.

I spend my winters along I-10 so I just figured everyone lived close to it. Either that or I don't know a 1 from a 2.
I did get the part right about going to the map. This 100+ heat is starting to get to me.
