Anyone know if it was a good seteup? Could it be used right out of the box or did it need tweeking? I think it came with a bull barrel- would it make weight?

nice rifle. a friend of mine had one in 708. accurate enough, trigger was adequate, stock was pretty good. i believe he shot in standard rifle... not sure it will make weight for hunter with factory barrel.

I owned a Savage 110 S in .308 and used it for a couple of years in Silhouette. It was a very accurate gun with just about anything you feed it. I really liked the stock as it was a pretty piece of walnut and proportioned for off hand shooting. The action was glass bedded from the factory and the trigger was adjustable.
The gun had a heavy tapered barrel, but I do not think it would make weight for Hunter class once a scope was added. Standard class is no problem.
These are nice guns if you can find one.

Yep, that's the gun. But I think he wants too much $ for it. That would explain why nobody is bidding....

It also doesn't say how many rounds have been through it. Even "excellent condition" HP rifles could be overdue for rebarreling.
