The Bayou Airgun Club in Baton Rouge Louisiana is now going to hold NRA Sanctioned Air Rifle and Pistol Silhouette Matches the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9 am.
The clubs annual Cajun Classic Field Target Match is this weekend. We will be having the first official Air Rifle match the following weekend on the 12th and for now continue on with that schedule to see how things go.
For the first match it will only be the 3 classes of rifle shot and qualifications if needed. Due to a paperwork oversight we are still awaiting the ok for the pistol portion however it is just a temporary issue.
We have not determined a match fee as of yet but I do not expect it to be more than $5. At the moment we have a set of Scioneaux resetables so higher powered rifles (within reason) are ok to use. We will be getting more targets with any amount of added participation. If your new to the sport you can shoot for free.
Let me know if you have any questions and come out if you can. Even if you only have one class of rifle others will be on hand and I am sure you would be more than welcome to try them out for a match.
That is one of the wonderful things about our airgun club. You can literally come out and shoot the worlds finest airgun setups without having to spend a dime to see if you like it
Not many places in the country where you can do that.
Thanks,
Dee
