Metallic Silhouette Society's First "Grand Championship" Event

Event:: The First Metallic Silhouette Society Grand Championship
Metallic Silhouette Society is excited to announce the inaugural Grand Championship on
June 21, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee.
This premier shooting event will crown the Best Overall Silhouette Shooter based on an aggregate score across four varied disciplines, each consisting of one 40-round match each.
Disciplines for Aggregate Scoring:
Small Bore Standard Rifle: 40-round match, 1/5 scale targets at 40, 60, 77, meters and 100 yards.
Air Rifle: 40-round match, 1/10 scale targets at 20, 30, 36, and 45 yards.
Small Bore Cowboy (SB Lever Gun): 40-round match, 1/2 scale targets at 40, 50, 75, meters and 100 yards, using .22 LR lever-action rifles.
Small Bore Open Sight Sporter: 40-round match, 1/2 scale targets at 40, 50, 75, , meters and 100 yards, shot with open metallic sights.
Aggregate Scoring:
Competitors may participate in any or all disciplines. The Best Overall Silhouette Shooter will be determined by summing the scores from all four 40-round matches (maximum 160 points) for those who compete in every discipline.

Event Details:
Schedule: Gates open at 7:00 AM CDT for registration and practice. Matches start at 9:00 AM and continue until 4:00 PM (last call to the line).
Format: Each discipline adheres to Silhouette Society rules, with 10 shots per target type (chickens, pigs, turkeys, rams) in two banks of five, shot standing and unsupported.
Entry Fees: $40.00 for adults (shoot up to 4 matches). Juniors are $10.00.
Awards:
Match Winner Pins for the top shooter in each discipline (minimum 3 participants per discipline).
Grand Champion Award for the competitor with the highest aggregate score across all four disciplines.
Additional Information:
The event features an "Open Format," allowing multiple disciplines to compete at your own pace throughout the day.
Basic Safety requirements: Eye and ear protection mandatory..
