Ha guys, a bit of news from downunder. At a Cowboy match on the weekend one of our shooters (The Fat Selector) shot a new record for long run chickens.
He shot 109 chickens in a row and was looking like he was going to keep going but ran out of ammo.
He uses a Marlin 44 Mag and was shoot a 196gr cast prjectile with 19gr of ADI 2205.
Nice shooting Fat Man and with the first Australian nationals being held in January he looks like the man to beat.

Any truth to the rumor that you're having an ammunition sale next week, Tasco?

Good shooting even if you can't keep enough ammo around, should have had someone reloading some for you while you were shooting!!!

I am assuming that this was done in Pistol Cartridge? Nice shooting. Al Foust

Ye it was in Pistol Caliber. The poor guy only took 200 rounds with him, we were only going to shoot a 40 shot match, he used a few stuffing around before the match thinking that he would only need a 40 for the match. He said that he had another 300 loaded and in MTM cases at home but just did not bring them.
We all learn the hard way!!

G'Day Robbie
Should of put this post in the cowboy forum. Don't give the Fat Selector to many nice words or we won't shut him up.

Robbie forgot to mention that the week before he and Daisy shot at WIN94 to death!! First the butt fell off, then the fore-end and finally Robbie had a hand full of springs and screws. The Fat Selector also shot his Marlin to bits at the same shoot(his Marbles fell to bits mid match). But it was the first state title for cowboy to be held in Aus so we all had fun!!
