Kelly Dean Landis of Mobridge, South Dakota
December 31, 1961 - June 25, 2023
Kelly Landis, 61, of Mobridge, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mobridge, visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM (CT) at the Trail City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge.
Kelly Dean Landis was born to Herbert and Rachel Landis in Mobridge, South Dakota on December 31, 1961. He grew up on the family ranch and attended grade school at Trail City and graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1980. In the fall of 1980, he attended NDSSS for machine tooling. After graduating, he went to work at GTC in Mobridge for many years and then opened his own shop on the ranch, which he operated until the time of his death.
Kelly was currently serving on the Moreau Grand Electric Board, T.C. & G Water Board, Trail City Community Hall Board Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling in his spare time with the highlight being The Holy Land in 2019. Kelly was a great “junque” collector which he said is just a little better class of junk.
Kelly is survived by his mother Rachel and three brothers; Steve, Todd, and Mark all of Mobridge and his best friend Linus the cat. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents
