Does anybody make an open class gun that has a trigger similar to a 5018? Where the two stages are adjustable independently?

Anschutz 9015 HP, Feinwerkbau FWB 800 Field Target, Walther LG400 Field Target, Air Arms XTI-50 and FTP 900, probably a few others.

Do you find the field target stocks to be comfortable for standing? I had looked at a RAW field target gun, but was told to avoid it because of the stock.

I would prefer one that feels and balances like a 1712, but neither the air arms or daystate rifles I have fired had very adjustable triggers.

Do you know anything about walrther SSP rifles? I have a chance at one, supposed to look at it at the next match.

I wrote an article for the NASSA technical library about the selection of my Open air rifle and what I did to modify and improve it for my liking. It's a good read so check it out!

In the end you have to find what works for you. If the stock looks good then check one out. If you agree that the stock doesn't appeal to you then look elsewhere.

The high end rifles I mentioned are all going to have top-notch, fully adjustable triggers.

I don't have any experience with the Walther SSP's, just my Anschutz 2002 SSP.

If you are looking to replicate your hunter silhouette gun, you will be at a disadvantage to the non hunter rule conforming stocks of open guns in an actual competition.

I very much wanted to go with the daystate huntsman but went with the FX Dreamline because I can control the power of the shot with a turn of the button. I wanted the non ambidextrous stock of the hunstman but reducing power (and benefit of more shots) for my back yard was more important.

Here are some that are basically silhouette hunter rifles:

Do you like the dreamline? How is the trigger?

Steyr LG110 can in theory shoot both Target and Open class with just one part swap that takes minutes.
