Update - 2023 West Coast Regional Match

Post by TheBugFather »

We have just added a pair of Canon 10x30 Image Stabilization II Binoculars as our grand prize this year.

We also received a few gift certificates from StarLine Brass, plus some goodies from Henry Rifle.

Please email me at: RELTSO at GMAIL dot COM , if you plan on attending or have questions.

It is very hard to plan Awards or Food or Polo Shirts or Squading or anything else for that matter for these events.

Thanks, Dennis Ostler

turnout looks light, probably 20 to 25 shooters for our match.

It's sad, but maybe next year, May 25th to 27th, 2024 Memorial Day weekend.

More for next years match, for those who plan on bringing family,
this is Los Angeles County in the heart of Southern California

If you have never visited this area, we have beaches (fishing/swimming/surfing/sun bathing) and mountains (hiking and skiing)

Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios
-- Theme / Amusement parks,

Hollywood / shopping, many great world class restaurants
and many many other destinations all within 1 hour or less of our range.

Dennis Ostler, hope to see you next year

ps. the weather will be sunny and 74 degrees for all three days of our match

Also, FYI we serve breakfast, a hot lunch (hamburgers and hot dogs)
and a dinner (normally Tri-tip) at our matches.
Thanks again, hope to see you next year!

What a fantastic match!

The range is phenomenal- absolutely gorgeous scenery (it felt like driving out to where all the 70's shows were filmed (CHiPs, Emergency, Adam-12)).

The facilities are just great. The range is easy to access and spacious. They have a great club house with A/C and amenities.

The Food - holy cow - I've never been so well fed at a match - and the desserts!!!

Everyone was welcoming, generous and super helpful.

Flying in/out of Los Angeles with rifles wasn't any different for me than the other 30 airports I've gone in and out of either.

Great shout out to Dennis and his crew - they put on a wonderful 3 day match.

And thanks to Tony for being the great shooter that he is - it's awesome being able to spot and take-in from one of the best. And that man can put the hammer down on his last animal after 3 days of shooting - truly impressive.

As an added bonus, the LASC range will be the home of where I finished my SB Lever Rams to get my Grand Slam! (No Raton 2pm monsoon is going to rob me this year!)

Thank you for the kind words.

It was great that you could attend.

Results and photos will be posted by this weekend.

Hopefully we can get more shooters next year at our Memorial Day weekend California State Match in May.

Thanks, Dennis Ostler

Mike, actually it is the area where all those old shows were filmed, including Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman and MASH. etc.
