Shooting less Lever Silhouette more Single shot rifle, 6 lever silhouette guns 2 each class time to thin them out. 1894 Marlin probably made 1910 transfer must be made with FFL.
24 inch full Octagon, Finish best shown in photos, it’s not bad, not a collectors gun though. MVA Marbles style tang sight Lyman 17A high front. 25/20 loading dies however I size with CH4D neck sizer die, including appropriate bushings not the die body. . Several shell holders, holder fit 25/20 difficult due brass variance, one works good, holder are both press & Lee style priming tool. About 100 cases WW 25/20 Brass. 75 RP Brass 750 or so factory cast bullets from Missouri Bullet company.
Have owned it a long time know all the warts, condition as follows. Bore good not shiny new but no problems, I consider it more accurate than it’s twin that I am keeping in 38/40, bit less accurate than my two 39A Marlins. Comparison, shooting on actual silhouette targets. Buttstock wood shrunk away from tangs and somebody cut out comb to suit their face, needs replacement but shot it with a strap on cheek piece hiding the comb. It’s sound just ugly.
The high 17a necessary to zero on chickens, lower original front would not zero chickens with my 86 gr bullet mild Unique powder load. FYI never got it to shoot well mild loads 4227, it needs hotter load. Significant issue when I first set it up was extraction using re sized 32/20 cases. Switched to all factory 25/20 problem solved. Some said I could ream the chamber for 32/20 brass did not want to.
If intrested PM for my email address and phone number will supply photos and answer any questions 1000 dollars shipping to your FFL extra, will give return privileges at Buyers expense.
