Atomic I just found this
Silhouette does not need committees to make decisions or rules. The old saying goes: "Too many cooks spoil the stew." We need one intelligent dictator.
" or David M. in Tennessee. Those two have all the needed skills.
Silhouette is at the same point where stock car racing was in the 1940's. Racing needed organization and promotion by somebody who understood every aspect of the sport. Bill France saw the need for a sanctioning body and the France family has been very successful with it. The same can be done with Silhouette."
The reading of my mind thing.

I am not involved in 4H shooting sports , but it appears that at least some of their competitions involve a stage of silhouettes with .22 rifles. Someone here is certainly more knowledgeable about that than I am. So there's some young people exposure.

Also, there is a pretty strong participation at CMP sporter rimfire matches in some areas, and a bunch of shooters at Camp Perry for the national championship in July. Like 200 or more? Lots of kids there and 4H teams.

So there are two groups that might have interested young people and parents already supporting them in the shooting sports.
