Taking Down - Marlin 57M - 22 magnum for sale
Just throwing this out here, before selling on gun broker or local gun store.
$750 plus shipping to your FFL
Marlin 57M in 22 magnum, shoots some ammo under 3/4" at 50 yards, one or two even less.
Had the stock refinished not to long ago, but I've already managed to put a few minor dings.
I will post better pictures soon.
Now the good and bad details:
Trigger is around 3 pounds, safety works, 17A fiber optic front sight on Williams shorty ramp.
I will replace the Williams rear receiver sight with a 70 series Redfield steel receiver sight with target knobs designed for the rifle.
It came with two extractor claws installed in the bolt, not the normal right extractor and left nubby one. It makes it a tiny bit harder to close the bolt, but adds extra extraction power.
Magazine tube is stiff sliding in and out, I will see if I can swap it out for another one.
Magazine doesn't like more than 6 rounds loaded, tends to jam up the feeding.
I will include one brick of 50gr Federal's 22 WMR
Picture of 5 shot group with the rifle was yesterday, kind of cross windy compared to the second set of group pictures, shot with the wind from behind me about a month ago. The little marker dots are my aiming points.
I have two bricks of 50gr Federals that I'm also selling at $165 per brick + shipping, if anyone is interested
Thanks for looking, Trying to raise funds!
