I am looking to buy an Anschutz 1712 to get going in hunter class smallbore.

If it's a full 1712 ready to shoot, wood stock or custom fiberglass, either way i'm interested.

also want to buy an 1808 or 54 action that would be a good host for a 5022 trigger. That would change my priorities a little.

THIS is the cheapest way to get into a nice rifle. I’d suggest if you haven’t already to put the same WTB ad at Accurate Shooting Forum and RFC (even though I have deleted my bookmarks for that place since their new Forum format is so annoying it hurts my head…)

I am assuming you do understand if you buy used though that the rifle may not be 100% suited for you, LOP, grip to trigger length, weight distribution etc… still a very good way to start.
