I just don't want this thread to die.

How about an aftermarket lever action "target" stock with monte carlo roll-over cheek pieces, thumbhole stocks, and Anschutz style target sights located 1.5 inches above the top of the barrel???? All legal within the rules?

Steve.

Let the thread die. An equipment race is not needed.

But the irony lies in the fact that with each new post, the thread lives on....

I would rather be allowed to restock, Than rebarrel. I have a few guns for each class, each one is capable of shooting 40's mostly with cast bullets. The only one I traded away, was a 39a that didn't shoot as good as I liked, but still good enough to hit every target

‘ya had to stir the pot by bringing up the bee. L-) Too bad a lever gun wasn’t chambered in 22 hornet. I would definitely be shooting one! I’ll stick with my 25-20.

If all targets were 500/Bisalloy/Wearalloy, or some grade similar, the Bee wouldn't be a problem.
Soft targets are the problem. We use 500/Bisalloy for all our targets including rimfire. They don't bend or break and will last longer than I'll be shooting them.

I had my gunsmith rebuild an Old Marlin action with a Lilja barrel (custom octagon straight taper) in .218 Bee. It's great! Less than 1/2 MOA on a bench at 100 meters. It's perfect for pistol cartridge and dominated at my last lever action regional.

Al,

I only use Olympic sights. Scopes are against the rules and I never break the rules!
