Any good camping spots in and around Baton Rouge? Need something for a night for this match, just a tent with the dog but will probably just sleep in the car as I am too lazy to get all the gear out for just 1 night

There is a KOA campground on the southeast side of Baton Rouge only a few miles from the range.
It is an easy, short drive to the range without travelling on major roads.
(This KOA actually has a Denham Springs address. It had clean bathrooms and showers the last time we camped there.)

Yup saw the KOA as well, the one in Baton Rouge is in the east of the city and but neither that one nor the one near New Orleans allow pets

The one I linked has always had pets (cats and dogs) unless that policy changed recently.
I would call them to verify. Especially since you will be in the tent area.

I think the KOA listed above is your best bet if you can bring your dog. If not, there are some RV spots in the park right next to the range. I assume that you could reserve one of those and just use your tent. You’d need to email BREC at outdooradventure@brec.org to reserve an RV spot.

I am bringing a spare Anschutz 2002 CA left handed to the match if anyone wants to buy it
