Yo Bob!....Kitty is getting better but did you see what he brought to the range yesterday to shoot?? A Marlin 39A??....Where's the "bling" in that??...Well, it did have a gold trigger...I guess that's like a gold tooth, huh...But I don't know,,,,I just don't think he's back up to "abnormal" yet.......

Blame it on hospital food and insufficient exposure to Hoppes #9, he'll come around. Granted that a Marlin 39A is odd, just not up (down?) to his normal operating levels.

Durn Kitty, I would have thought that you could have found some better sniffing material than Hoppes #9.
As for a Marlin 39....hmmm has some potential.

Eley primer and Hoppe's 9...Two of lifes' great smells.......The little 39A is a fun gun to shoot. After a hospital stay like mine you can blame all kinds of aberrant behavior on it......I don't remember grabbing the nurse......Maybe her lunch, but not her.........

I've go a few plans for this particular 39A....It's a crossbolt safety version, not old enough to hurt by "blinging" it up....It has sooooo many parts that come off easily and will fit into the powdercoating oven.....

As for powder coating, I want to look for methods that improve performance and appearance without wearing off. Of course, said methods probably paint off the walls...

Two of many paradoxes presented by our contemporary world. Beginning from an assumption of normal, is Kitty's normal abnormal operating level above or below the commonly accepted societal norm? Clearly he was operating on a much higher level (very, very high) over the weekend, but was this truly outside the commonly accepted plus or minus one standard deviation of the bell curve (i.e., an outlier?)

If his "normal" operating modality is under the negative tail of the curve, then the aforementioned "high" state may have really brought him into line with social norms, while coming out of this relatively altered state has merely settled him back into his normal moderated state.

Conversely, if we assume his normal state is elevated, then "high" in this instance may have placed him beyond the two standard deviation limit of most typically applied measuring instruments, implying his true state was operationally undefined.

Inquiring minds want to know.
