Congratulations Ridgway Rifle Club. Based on my experiance attending the Regionals at Ridgway last year, I know this will be a well attended and well run match.

Lodging and dining.
The dining section is a bit out of date. Folks who have shot at Ridgway can chime in with their current favorites.

RV's and Camping.
There's plenty of parking for RV's, both on the High Power range and at the main clubhouse. There are electrical hook ups however they will require extension cords. There's potable water at each location and a dump station at the main club house. There's never any charge for electricity, dump station use or camping at Ridgway.

Tent camping is also available. There are grassy area's around each parking lot suitable for tents. Restrooms are located in each clubhouse. There are two shower units at the main clubhouse.

Many improvements going on at the club to accommodate the expanded program (additional power for RVs, etc.). Hope to see everyone there.

Ridgway sightseeing and attractions.
For those who may be interested in other things to do or see when at Ridgway.
There are kayaking and canoe rentals on the beautiful Clarion River.
The town is decorated with chainsaw woodcarving and holds an annual event for that purpose.
PA,has a herd of Elk that can be viewed nearby,these are magnificent animals to be seen.
Kane& Mt Jewett offer a scenic view from a railroad trestle that was destroyed by high winds yet salvaged for viewing.
Bells meat market in Kane offers a variety of famous homemade sausages and specialty items for the grill,plus custom cuts of steaks and cheeses,homemade leek dips,and seasonings of every description.
Bradford,Pa,is also a great destination for the Zippo lighters,and Case knives museum and home of Kendall oil products refinery.
This is a historic oil producing area and a museum with how it all began.
Ridgway and surrounding area is part of the Allegheny National Forest.This Forest was completely logged over for the bark of hemlock for use in tanning hides,later other timber was harvested for use of mining supports,alcohol and chemicals.Then oil was discovered and that’s a history in itself.
So I advise taking some extra time to enjoy all this area has to offer.

Like Raton, we often use any day off to explore (Taos or Mt. Capulin, for instance). Three of other places to visit, while further away, are Niagara Falls (2.5hr), Corning Museum of Glass (2.5hr) and the Gettysburg battlefield (which is very well done with an excellent visitors center - 3.5hr). But, mostly, come for the shooting.

As posted by the BPCR match director, the matches are still going forward as scheduled.

Per this a.m., the Royal motel/restaurant had one (1) double-room left. The Royal is the motel nearest the range (<2mi) and their prime rib is about as good as it gets. Good enough that shooting is the bonus.
