Tikka T1X rifle
Who has some experience with the new Tikka .22 rifle?
A good solid rifle with exceptional performance or a dog of a rifle?

Re: Tikka T1X rifle
I have one, I like it so far but only put about 200 rounds through it. More than accurate enough for silhouette, and I am getting the timney 2 stage trigger soon. I like the fact that it fits in the same stocks as the T3 line. Not as smooth as the t3, I would put it in the same boat as the cz452s and 455s.

Re: Tikka T1X rifle
We bought 4 of them at The Ridgway Rifle Club for jr shooters to use if they wanted to try Smallbore Silhouette. We also bought 4 Leupold 6.5x20 to put on them. So far so good very accurate and decent triggers. More time will tell as to how they hold up.

Re: Tikka T1X rifle
I Shoot one and really like it a lot. This is why,
I originally joined silhouette to practice for hunting. I now realize that that was a great idea but I would also be way more hooked on silhoutte then hunting as i only get to hunt once a year where as i shoot silhouette three times a month.
So why the tikka well in my opinion tikka makes the best priced out of the box accurate rifle on the market
I hunt with a tikka superlight in a hunter stock in .308 for moose and deer.
I shoot high power silhoutte with a tikka stainless in 6.5 creedmoor in a forest stock
now here is the trick
Small bore silhouette I shoot a Tikka t1x 20" barrel in a forest stock with a limsaver with lead in the limsaver to increase weight at the back for balance.
What I get with this combo is The same Stock on my Highpower and my small bore
I also get the same trigger set to exactly the same weight on the two riffles i set a bit higher on my hunting rig but not much.
The T1X is not perfect but for me its great. It shoots 1/2 groups of cci SV at 50yrds and around 1.25 at a 100yards. Sure a 1712 might do better but its 4 times the price in canada.
Another Thing that shooters should concider before they buy is there hold as the mag does stick down at least 1.5 inches so that might hinder your hold. I would love someone to make a flush five round mag.
I have shot a few triple a scores with it so far but im sure its not the rifle its me. Will it be a master class gun I hope i can find out : )
