6.5x47 Lapua, loads for the 107SMK?
Hi,
Im load developing for the 6.5x47 Lapua, 26" Lilja Rem Varmint barrel on a Remington action I trued.
The 123 Sierra match kings work well:
#1 - 123 SMK with 40.1 H4350 and .015 jump, Lapua brass; 0.425 vertical at 200 yards, 1.85 horizontal on a 9 o'clock windy day
#2 - 123 SMK with 35.3 Varget and .015 jump, Lapua brass; 0.574 vertical at 200 yards,[/b] 2.01 horizontal on a 9 o'clock windy day
#3 - 123 SMK with 35.3 RE16 and .015 jump, Lapua brass; 0.675 vertical at 200 yards,[/b] 1.22 horizontal on the same 9 o'clock windy day
What loads should I try with the 107gr. SMK's?

I've used IMR 4064 on the 107s with good results. I had an 8lbs jug of it already and it works well with the light bullets. Save the Varget for the 142s
Its a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing milk bone underwear.

Used the same Varget load that you tried with the 123.0 Grainers. You can go up to 36.00Gr. Varget with no sign of pressure with the 107 Gr.

For lighter bullets like the 107 SMK or 108 scennars VVN140 is some pretty magic stuff.
I won't recommend a starting load but you can get the load data off of the Lapua website. I'd make sure to chronograph as you don't want to be pushing them too fast for barrel life of course but also to get clean knock overs. I blew up some 100 gr AMAX bullets on pigs w my fav load as it was really cooking. Backed off a grain and a half and still was in the sub MOA realm with good effect on the steel.

I’m using H-4350 with my TMK 107’s. Right off hand I can’t remember the powder charge, but I had to push them a little to close up the groups.
