Shooting Sports is one of my hot buttons. It is about the most unresponsive publication I have ever seen. It would be more benificial to us shooters if they published in newspaper format and keep us up to date on things. The way the operate now is like they are publishing a history book.

I know that when there is a change in the matches in the back of the mag, it takes 3 months to catch up. Or if a match director is late requesting that his match be approved. it takes the same time to catch up. From what I understand most magazines run like that, when Outdoor Life canned Zumbo, it took a couple of months for his colum to be gone. When Hugh Birnbaum stepped aside from Shooting Times, his articles where still there for about three months.

All that being said, we have not seen the final match results bulletin yet either.

How about "Steel Chickens - The Magazine" ?...My thoughts on this: Waste of paper and still delivered by mail. This internet format is the only way to go. We get nearly instant feedback from each other, load data, opinions, advise, support, match reports and jockularity, yes, plenty of jockularity and humor. We even get pictures, sometimes posted within minutes of being taken. No pesky editors watching our every written word. And we got Kitty. What more could a great group of guys and gals ask for? :D
