I took advantage of the Remington Christmas sale; it was 35% off of pretty everything in their store. I picked up a shiny walnut BDL stock for my El Cheapo model 700. The El Cheapo plastic stock is now in the trash heap and now my El Cheapo Remington 700 is not so El Cheapo looking!

I would have kep0t the plastic one. It won't warp when the humidity changes.

I REALLY HATE that plastic stock. A good composite stock is a different matter but the PlasticoElCheapo has to go.

It is a good place to be FROM!!!!!!!!!!! I am not opposed to a good composite stock but what was a CHEAP plastic stock, besides I got the Remington walnut stock for $230, delivered from Remington.

You paid good money for one of those stocks?

Yes chuckles, I paid good money for that stock. Trust me, it is several steps up from the ElCheapo Plastico stock it came with.

When I hit the lottery I will buy a McMillian stock like you have.
