Ridgway PA HP report

Just a quick update. Cathy Winstead-Severin won day one both guns with 35 each. I have no way to post a score sheet picture. 71 registered for standard gun, 66 for hunter. This is a very nice range and my first time here. Won't be my last. Good shooting to those at the Wyoming State this weekend.

Thanks, Bob. Don't forget about day 2 and 3 also.

Excellent shooting by Cathy this year!
Anyone know her caliber for High Power?
If still 6mm Rams must be falling with a 35 for scores.

Looks like the numbers are up from Raton's turnout last year. If the numbers are higher back east, then maybe THAT national Championship should remain there. More shooters and the sport will survive. Good Job guys.

71 for HP sucks, no matter where they shoot.
We had that many for ID state back in the early 90s. What is happening toi this sport?

I think 71 is up from last year so that doesn't suck. The guys/gals at Ridgeway obviously did a great job to attract more shooters so, to save the sport, it only makes sense to leave the nationals where the most numbers are. I won't go there for more than one reason, but I'm happy to see all the hard work pay off and the overall numbers up.

The new shooters shoot 3-gun or some other shooting sport.
Edited to remove insensitive comment.

Ohhhh, where is my popcorn. This should get good with people arguing over where the Nationals should permanently be located.

You see who was the first to have something to say.
Just saying

I agree with David. The old , cranky white guys are dying and young guys/gals are loving the action sports. Where the highest turnouts are predictable is where the sports will thrive .

Dearest Jim
. I believe the post was originally from David. No need for public name calling...but I will entertain anything you may have to say to me in a private meeting between you and I so we may come to some kind off accord ,,or not. Now ..back to my crystal ball so I can know to whom or what I may or may not say that may offend .
Once again I apologize for any reference to David's pot that has offended you or hurt your feelings.
I look forward to meeting you so we can just hug this out..I love you .xoxoxoxoxoxxo

I have met you, last year at Raton. You are an asshole.

Just my three cents worth:
If you are someone who isn't willing to travel to a state, regional, or national match that isn't held at or near your home range you shouldn't be complaining about attendance numbers at these matches.
Byron
Ps the numbers at nationals last year at Raton were similar.

I am sorry if I offended anyone. I was pointing out that at the matches that the average age of the competitors seems to be going up. Not that many younger shooters seem to have any interest in silhouette.
I apologize for any insensitive remarks I made.
