I'm looking for a rod guide for my 1712. I was going to buy one of the Mwerks guides, but I have a Tipton rod and they don't list Tipton as being compatible. If I could find a rod guide that would fit both my 1712 and my 54 single shot, that would be even better. Any suggestions?

The 1712 and the 54 have the same offset firing pin. I do know Midway makes one for the 1712. Don't even think of cleaning without the guide. I don't think the rod mfg matters as long as it is fore a 22 cal.

What is a rod guide?
