Can I assume the Weaver Bases for all of Anschutz 54 models fit the 1712? Brownells lists a lot of 64 and 54 models, but nothing in the 17xx range.

mordecai,
1712 is a 54 action, a 1416 is a 64 action.

So are all "54" actions drilled and tapped the same on current rifles?

As far as I know, from all my reasearch. Take a measurement with a micrometer and call the brownell tech dudes.
Good luck.

The Weaver one's I used were the Weaver #91's on my 1712 and 54.18. I believe they fit both the 54 and 64 actions if I read the package correctly.

I'm using the Weaver bases on my 1712 (forget which ones). I've found that the rear base mounts too far forward on the receiver to be able to get the scope back as far as I'd like.

I tried those Weaver bases on my 1712 but they didn't give me nearly as much range of mounting the rings as dovetail mounts, so I went back to my BKLs and haven't looked back.
