Re: How do I submit rule changes to the NRA Silhouette Commi

I spoke to Greg a couple months back about rule change to 2" scope height like they have in HP. He said the rules committee meets in October or November, which I can't remember which month. He did go into a big orientation needing a medical excuse.......etc. I am at 1.42 inch height and 1.75 inches would be perfect for my build. I've tried all ready. Greg did listen to my body type/build for the need for more scope height. I plan to e-mail him soon to request a change. I then plan to follow up with him late November to see if change has been approved. The last rule book printing was 2008. Perhaps the rules committee is stuck in their ways, like Gov't and need some downsizing at the same time. Anyway, I will be standing by and if does not happen, I will try again next year or maybe ask them for a phone conference meeting to review again b/4 years end.
We have Silhouette medals red, white and blue ribbons with laser engraving on the back for specific winners at our state match. We have 3 huge state traveling trophies which are a pain to keep track of and put names on. I hope to change that next year to 3 individual engraved small trophies. We decided to give those non winners the same award medals stating State Championship 2012, Beloit Rifle Club rather than a certificate that "Huey," sent me. I got some extra money from our club this year for awards.
I will be discussing the need to raise our entrance fee to all the competitors for 2013. We are ridiculously low in our entrance fee compared to the other sports, I have learned this past year. Problem is, we only have 12 competitors state wide from 2 clubs that are NRA classified. The state NRA says we are supposed to be self sufficient even though they have $1600.00 in SB savings. That is another story! No help either. I could have received $200.00 from the state NRA last year and instead, I got from our rifle club. I would be involved with our state board, but they are 2 hours away and sometimes 3-4 hours. They need change too.........but no volunteers to run for office.
Sorry for blabbing and learning a lot these 2 years. This week have to send money to the NRA with usual forms, which is normal.
